How to read the Board Map

Length runs across, in feet with millimetres beside, and volume in litres runs up on a log scale, so equal steps up are equal ratios. They are the two figures brands publish most often. A board needs both to be drawn; one without either still has its own page.

Colour is slenderness, length ÷ width, computed here from the brand's own figures. The five bands are cut at 2.5, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 and are named by what they measure, not by what a board is for: the brand's own disciplines are on each board's page. Grey means the brand publishes no width, so the board has no slenderness.

Each board's page lists the current boards from other brands within ±7% of volume and ±2% of length, and ±2% of slenderness where both publish a width, with the mount beside each one. The map opens on current boards, with construction variants collapsed into the shape they share.

Every figure is linked to the page it was read from on its board's page. Some are archived copies of a brand's own page, and the board's page says so. Every foilboard, by brand · Every brand
